The Think Tank is located between the Ipswich Museum and the Ipswich Art Gallery, set back from High Street and accessed by a short path.

  • The closest public car park is NCP Tower Ramparts on Crown Street (IP1 3DH), which is open 24 hours a day, Monday to Sunday.

    The council-run Crown Street Car Park (IP1 3HS) also offers ample parking, just a couple of minutes walk away, and is open from 8am until 6.30pm (with a later closing time of 11.30pm on Friday and Saturday).

  • We are located 5-6 minutes walk from Tower Ramparts Bus Station, a hub for bus routes from all around Ipswich and the surrounding areas.

  • Ipswich is just over an hour away direct from London Liverpool Street via train and 40 minutes direct from Norwich. Trains run late enough to allow attendance at Think Tank events - check times before travelling. We are a 20 minute walk from the train station.

BOX OFFICE

Provided an event is not sold out, tickets will be available to buy on the door from 30 minutes before the event starts. We accept cash, card and contactless payments. Our box office is paperless, and we do not issue physical tickets.

BAR + CATERING

We operate a small bottle bar during events. If you are hiring the space for your own event, let us know if you would like to consult our list of recommended local caterers.

ACCESSING THE THINK TANK

The Think Tank has step-free access to all spaces. Registered assistance dogs are welcome. If an event is going to be crowded, loud, have flashing lights or adult content, we signpost that clearly in advance and on the door at each event.
